Code of Ethics

Perth Ka Huna Massage will:

  • care for the health, wellbeing and comfort of our clients with the utmost skill appropriate to our current qualifications

  • respect the privacy, modesty and dignity of our clients and maintain appropriate professional boundaries

  • respect the beliefs, rights and values of our clients

  • protect the confidentiality of our clients’ personal information

  • refer clients to an appropriate practitioner if their needs are outside our scope of practice and training

  • respect our fellow therapists in all disciplines

  • commit ourselves to continuing professional development, sharing technical skills and raising professional standards

  • endeavour to enhance the reputation of the Ka Huna massage therapy profession

  • refrain from conduct that adversely affects the reputation of the Ka Huna massage profession

RESERVATION POLICy

In order to provide our services, we may collect personal data from you in order to provide and book the correct service.

Payment terms

Please make full payment at the end of service. Perth Ka Huna Massage are able to accept credit/debit card or cash payment.

Cancellation Policy and Fees

Your bodywork times are reserved exclusively for you. We value your time ask that you respect the scheduling policies. Should you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance.

Any cancellations with less than 24 hours of notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of $50.

Late Arrival Policy

All services have a specific time schedule therefore we regret that late arrivals may not receive extension of scheduled appointments. In special cases, and when our schedule will allow, we may be able to accommodate a partial or full appointment. This will be at Perth Ka Huna Massages discretion.

No Show Policy

At Perth Ka Huna Massage, we understand that unanticipated events occur, however, we ask that you phone us if you cannot keep your appointment. Clients who miss their appointments without giving any prior notification may be charged in full for the scheduled service.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Please contact us to make reschedule your reservation. If you need to cancel your booking please provide 24 hours.

MEDICAL CONCERNS:

Please let us know any medical conditions that may affect our services. It is the responsibility of the client to keep us informed of any medical treatment currently being taken. The client must also keep the massage therapist informed of any changes in health conditions.

Perth Ka Huna Massage does not currently treat minors (under the age of 18 years old).

Informed Consent

Prior to each massage session, the treatment plan will be discussed with you. At your first visit with us you will be asked to sign the treatment consent form stating that you have read the information, understand it, and agree to comply with the policies and procedures. Clients who we have not seen for at least a year may also be asked to complete this form.

Our Bodywork professionals are happy to adjust pressure, temperature, musical volume, work longer on an area or move on if you request it.

The client may choose to:

  • leave on as much clothing as needed for comfort

  • refuse any massage methods

  • stop massage at any time.

The client will always be modestly draped. Only the area being massaged will be undraped. The clients will be kept informed of the area to be massaged.

Sexual interaction or discussion of any kind between the client and the massage therapist is NEVER appropriate.
